Westbrook Native To Perform at Carnegie Hall

Besides featuring a favorable review of The Frog & Turtle, today's Press Herald also included a blurb about Roberta Michel, a 2000 alum of Westbrook High School, securing a performance at the Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in March as a result of winning the Artists International Special Presentation Award. You can read about Michel and listen to her audio clips by clicking here.

In closing, a quest for clarification: Does anyone know if Michel is singing or playing her flute at the recital? The contents of her website suggest the latter, but the headline of the aforementioned blurb says she will be singing.

- John C.L. Morgan

P.S. Roberta Michel is the daughter of the Westbrook painter, Caren-Marie Michel.

Thanks John, Roberta is playing the flute at Carnegie Hall. Ironically, she is doing some singing on a "new music" piece.

Thanks,
