Practice at least one act of random kindness per week.
Without getting too touchy-feely, Sacha Zimmerman writes in her book, For America: Simple Things Each of Us Can Do to Make Our Country Better, that "[e]ach of us has an astonishing amount of power; we can alter the course of someone's day--even that of a stranger, whom we may never see again--with a simple gesture of kindness." Or you could just perform that act of random kindness this week because February 12-18 is Random Acts of Kindness Week.
To help you brainstorm for ideas, consult this list from The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation. Yes, such an institution does actually exist.
