Walker Memorial Library will re-open Monday after being closed for five months due to renovation, the American Journal reported today. According to the piece, the library's renovation took longer than expected--it was supposed to re-open in December--but the total cost should actually be about $200,000 lower than originally projected.
Besides fixing the leaky ceiling (water and paper don't mix very well, after all), the renovation included the refurbishment of the library's carpets and furniture. And the staff has been busy rearranging the library and wiring it up to MINERVA.
