Republican Michael Lawson will challenge Democratic Rep. Ann Peoples for the Maine House of Representative's District 125 seat this fall, according to the Web site of the Maine Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices.
Lawson most recently ran as a Democrat in the 2009 At-Large City Council race, where he collected 26% of the vote en route to a third place finish out of three candidates.
