Every since I started this site in January 2008, I've wrestled with whether I should allow commenters post anonymously. Fortunately, most of my readers and commenters have been respectful enough toward each other and other people in the community to make such an exercise mostly an abstract one. Nevertheless, the trend on this site and elsewhere in the virtual world have caused me to decide against allowing anonymous posters.
I am tired of playing judge and jury when it comes to each questionable post, and I am too busy to worry about this anymore. I apologize to those who did not abuse this system.
