Westbrook Fire Chief Daniel Brock was unrightfully terminated from his position,- John C.L. Morgan
according to a letter from his lawyer to Mayor Colleen Hilton. The letter, dated
Jan. 15, claimed Brock is still the fire chief, despite Hilton’s announcement
during her inaugural address that she would not be reappointing him to the
position. In the letter, attorney Barbara Goodwin of Murray, Plumb & Murray
said Brock is “prepared to take legal action to enforce his rights,” but would
prefer to resolve the matter without litigation and has requested to be paid 4.5
years’ salary.
