For Andrew Tevanian, the dusty clearing off Route 302 in Westbrook is not just- John C.L. Morgan
the family owned and operated drive-in he grew up in, but a piece of living
history. From the towering movie screen to the conduit boxes that once powered
car-mounted speakers and heaters, the Pac-Man console to the 4,000-watt xenon
bulb of the projector, Tevanian said the drive-in is more than just an
affordable alternative to the ubiquitous cineplex, it's an experience. "It's
nostalgic, it's Americana, ” said Tevanian. “It's something you've got to
experience once or twice."
