In honor of Labor Day, it would be worthwhile to listen to "Remembering Mother Warren," a thirty-minute award-winning documentary about S.D. Warren's remarkable history in Westbrook.
Broadcast by Maine Public Radio in 2003, the WMPG program was produced by Michael Hillard, Claire Holman, and Jessica Lockhart; narrated by Thomas Lestage and Paul Drinan; and was awarded first place in the Public Affairs category in the 2004 Maine Association of Broadcasters News and Creative Awards.
Anyway, I bet you can't look at a peeled banana the same way after listening.
