Jeffrey Wood One of Region's 'Unsung Heroes'

AJ:
Those in Westbrook who have never met Jeffrey Wood might know him as the dog
walker. After all, Wood makes a five-and-a-half-mile trek with his dog every
day. But he would prefer if his fellow community members knew him on a
first-name basis. And he is doing everything he can to make it so. Wood is the
founder of the eHope Foundation, a nonprofit that facilitates care-giving
communities to provide support for sufferers of life-threatening illness and
their families.

Thanks for the mention John (and to Joey Cresta @ AJ also for his kind words).

With all due respect, if ever there was an "unsung hero" here in Westbrook, it's you. It's been a pleasure following your insightful blog, and chatting up the importance of community and social capital with you over a beer. I look forward to collaborating with others like you during the upcoming year, in the interest of restoring the relational fabric of Westbrook's neighborhoods. After all, the success of Main Street is intrinsicly linked to the quality and depth of the relationships between the houses on Lyman, Cole, Rochester, etc.

And oh, by the way.....congratulations on the recent birth of your daughter; the newest diarist in our hood.
