Did you know the City of Westbrook Seal features a drawing of the vessel that carried the city's namesake, Col. Thomas Westbrook, to Maine from New Hampshire? The Seal also consists of the Westbrook family crest (which is described in the Highlights of Westbrook History as a "mailed knee and foot") and the years in which Westbrook was incorporated as a town (1814) and incorporated as a city (1891).
The Seal was adopted in June 1891.
